If you haven’t added your money to the Hole-In-One pot: now is the time. Don’t get caught empty handed if you make that shot on a PBGN outing and you forgot to add your money. $5.00 will cover you for 2008. Remember, even if you put your money in last year, you must repay to be eligible for this year. Please contact Carol Mauro or Pegi Ballinger if you intend to participate. Your word will be as good as paid (until you do pay)!

Message from the President Tracy Moy
The wait is finally over!!! We promised you a new look for PBGN and its finally complete. Let me be the first to introduce you to the new logo for PBGN. The board is very excited about the new look for the newsletter as well as the publicity boards and business cards (see inside). I hope you will be as enthusiastic about the make over as we are. We hope the new look will provide our club the ability to attract many new members the rest of 2008 and hopefully future years to come.

PBGN owes a debt of gratitude to Olga Castillo for introducing PBGN to Sue Collard, owner of Sage Group Advertising (SGA), and Sue’s incredibly talented staff. SGA turned a concept into a reality and developed a fantastic look for our organization. Not only did we receive a great new look but the many hours of artistic creativity were donated by SGA. SGA is also responsible for sponsoring our new web page which will post information regarding our club at a very minimal cost to PBGN. The next time you see Olga (OC to most of us) or Sue out on the golf course, please be sure to acknowledge all the great work they did for PBGN.

New Match Play Handicap for 2008
We will be trying something different this year. We will be using the Ghin Course Handicap Calculator to determine what handicaps will be utilized for the courses you will be playing your matches.

1. You or your opponent or both may go online to the Ghin site.

2. Look for the Course Handicap Calculator.

3. You will need to enter your current handicap index and the slope of the course you will be playing to determine your handicap for that said course. (you can find most slopes by entering a golf course name in the system)

4. The player with the lowest handicap will be the one to give strokes to their opponent.

5. The number of strokes to be given will be the difference between the high and low handicaps from the calculator.

6. You should print this information and bring it to the course with you for verification. NO FIGHTING!!!!
